The latest edition of the Reserva Especial brings together three harvests with complementary profiles: the structure of 2011, the depth of 2012 and the freshness of 2014. A complex, already integrated nose of ripe black and red fruit, sweet spices, balsamic notes and fine tobacco. The palate is silky and long, with very polished tannins and a freshness that holds everything together. Drinkable from 2027 and with a life well into the 2040s.
Each base vintage is aged for more than ten years separately; Vega Sicilia then blends the three harvests and the wine continues to mature before release.
96% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. A blend of the 2011, 2012 and 2014 harvests. 14.5% ABV.
A very limited edition: 18,618 bottles and 264 magnums. Bottled in May 2022.
