Mandolás is the dry white wine of Oremus, the historic Hungarian winery in the Tokaj region acquired by Vega Sicilia in 1993. A dry Furmint of great personality that shows the group masters not only Iberian reds but also the great whites of central Europe.
Tokaj is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine regions in the world, historically famous for its sweet Aszú wines. But under Vega Sicilia's direction, Oremus has revived the tradition of dry Furmint, a style that existed before the modern obsession with sweetness. Mandolás comes from the winery's hillside vineyards, with volcanic and clay soils that give the wine its mineral character and vibrant acidity.
Golden yellow with greenish glints. A fresh, aromatic nose: green apple, pear, citrus, white flowers and a mineral note typical of Tokaj's volcanic soil. Fresh on the palate, with vibrant acidity, medium body and a mineral, persistent finish. A white of great personality and unique character.
Baked fish, seafood, mushroom risotto, fresh cheeses, lightly warmed foie gras. Also excellent as an aperitif thanks to its freshness and character.
10–12 °C · Serve well chilled.
Best between 2024 and 2028. Enjoy in its youth.
