An excellent year of silky tannins: a polished, approachable Alión. Deep, luminous purple. Fresh, precise aromas of red and black fruit, flowers, liquorice and fine, well-melded toast. An enveloping, balanced palate with silky tannins and a long, spicy finish; all the strength of Alión with a more velvety touch. Very enjoyable now, with room to grow.
Around 14–16 months in new French oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing before release.
Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) 100%.
Sirloin, rib-eye, small game, lamb stews and semi-cured cheeses.
16–18 °C. Decant for at least 30–45 minutes.
